Eric Mellencamp, @

Hey Mike,

I just wanted to drop you a note and share the stoke. Since I got home from the camp, I've been working on applying the techniques and concepts you taught us during the SGC. The difference in how it feels to ride the familiar trails down here in SoCal is amazing. Changing my body position on the bike (riding more centered, not hanging off the back) has really been a revelation. I feel so much more in control! My cornering still has quite a way to go, but it's getting better. Keeping my eyes up and looking ahead is becoming more natural now as well. It makes such a huge difference in the perception of speed. I just entered my first downhill race last weekend, and it really helped get me through the nastier sections in particular.
Here's a pic of me enjoying the deep and loose sandy dirt we raced in thanks to no rain for the last few months .

Idaho Feedback, @

hey victor (he helped us organize the Idaho Clinics)

my name is travis elquist i went to the ride on clinic and it was awsome I had family and friends coming to town so I was only able to stay tell 4:00. The techniques and bike set up that mike went through with us were incredable, I feel even with the little amount of time I was able to ride with those guys my race speed will definetly increase. I just

wanted to let you guys know that what your doing for the sport and for the riders is greatly appreciated and I hope you will come back to pocatello or close, I will definetly be there.
Thanks again
Travis Elquist

Boise iD, @

Hello,

Sorry this took so long, by no means does it lessen my
appreciation for you and Mike. You guys were
awesome!!! I learned a ton and am more excited than
ever to ride. It was a blast and I was impressed with
your ability to convey the amazing skills you both
possess. Thank you too for all your patience and
attention. I realize I am less than an accomplised
rider and yet you still worked so diligently with me.
You guys rock!

Boise Ride On Clinic, @

Greetings!

I want to thank all of you for this experience. It was excellent. I learned so much! The athletes, Shaums, Kelli and Mike were fantastic. They were very knowledgeable, approachable, professsional and fun! Most of all, their enthusiasm for the sport was infectious! I was so impressed with how patient they were with each of us in their teaching. Each of them brought unique teaching styles to the concepts, and they really took every approach (audio, visual, kinesthetic, etc) to adapt to each learning style.

Shaums, thank you for the "mock" burm ride. I appreciate how you jumped on the back of my bike and actually rode me through a section that I was very nervous about. I will go back out there again and try this on my own now that I know (with your help) what I need to do. WOW! Kelli, your visuals (tree simulations), feet on the ground/hips out techniques were very helpful! Mike, thank you for your analytical approaches (showing us what to do and what not to do). I also appreciated the meringue pie metaphor as well! Don't break the crust! Each of you were also very supportive. Thanks for all of the cheering and immediate feedback as we pushed ourselves beyond our personal limits!

I came away from this clinic with very useful information. I know this has made me more confident in my riding skills, and I am so excited to go out and apply these techniques. The snacks and the Red Bulls were also very generous. It was most needed during the clinic!

Thank you again. I truly appreciate all of you!

The drive by coaching, @

Just had to post this because I saw these two on the chair lift and we talk and I showed them three things to work on while they were heading to their trail.

Hey Shaums,

Just wanted to drop you a quick e-mail thanking you for working with
Laura and myself up at Whistler! Just those few tips helped us
tremendously.

Now, do you still have time available to work with us at Bear Mtn this
weekend?

Thanks!

Jason and Laura
