Nate Warner, @

I met Shaums a few years back while working on the second Red Bull FreezRide. It was kind of a surreal experience, considering he was one of my favorite riders. I think his unique style, and solid movie segments set him a part.

Since FreezRide I have know Shaums to be one of the most solid personalities and riders in the business. He goes out of his way to spread pedal love. He is one of the most gifted riders in the game; the fastest North American at the World Championships and throwing down a 3rd place performance at the urban focused Boston Bike Battle.

Shuams versatility is precisely what makes him one of the best coaches in mountain biking. He has a huge range of experience that enables him to relate to the challenges his students face and create coaching that actually makes sense.

Cheers.
Nate

“After taking a skills clinic at Snowshoe W.V. with Shaums and the M.M.R team, I gained the confidence and skills to raise my racing ability from beginner to expert in one season!!”
Billy continues
“Shaums’s method of teaching is one of the most accessible, easy to understand methods I have ever experienced. It worked with me and I have seen more advanced riders benefit from it as well.

Shaums,
I took your short clinic when you were in Santa Barbara quite a few months back and I just wanted to say that some of the things that you taught me, I will never forget!! Thanks to your help, I went on to win the NORBA finals in Snowmass, CO this past season by almost 4 seconds (Sport 19-24). That win and my 4th place finish at NMBS #4 (with an over the bars crash) at Angel Fire, NM really helped give me the confidence that I need to move up to Expert for the 2008 season.

Hey Shaums:
Just wanted to send you this photo of Taylor from her last DH race- She set a new personal race-time record of 7:06--a full minute faster than her last race!
Thank you for spending time with her and boosting her confidence--she was very lucky to be able to get some personal attention from you.
Looking forward to seeing you in October.

Taylor Reed, @

Hey Shaums,
You guys showed me how to ride my bike correctly and efficiently and this made me a faster rider and racer. I also became more confident pumping,
braking, and cornering especially trusting myself and my bike through
high speed, loose corners and knowing I won?t slide out and crash. I put what I learned to use over the summer while racing and
I shaved of at least 20 seconds sometimes more off every course time
from the previous year. If you want to improve you?re riding ability
and get faster and more confident on your bike this is the camp to be
at. These guys do more than just ride in front of you for a day they
actually teach you special techniques that will help you improve your
riding ability, and if you are struggling with a certain technique
these guys will help you one on one until you learn how to do it. This
is the best and only camp I would go to.
Thanks-
Taylor Reed
