Gravity East kick off at Massanutten resort
George Willetts, master of ceremonies announced that 11 states were represented there. MMR hosted it's first of many a 3-hour clinic for the Gravity East series,
4 attendees of the clinics had podium.
Dieter Ward, the director of the Gravity East Series, and another camp participant, raced his first DH race ever at Massanutten and finished within seconds of a podium finish.

Bromont Course Walk
Today started with a quick breakfast and then the MMR crew was off to walk the Bromont downhill course. "Epic," described Steve Bursey, "the course is definitely faster then last year, though the consequences are certainly higher." Miranda Miller felt the course was definitely easier then last year, "but if you make a mistake, the course is going to be unforgiving. We're going to have to be right on our lines to make the finish."

A busy morning, the riders keen to pack in as many runs before lunch. They know after lunch we have a 7-hour trip across to Kamloops and Sun Peaks.
Magical mystery trail, hustler, big brother and fantastic the chosen trails of the riders. Again and again they looped back to the top for another run.
This coaching is very different to a standard MMR camp, with just four riders we can keep a real fast flow with the usual 100% focus on technique

Sea Otter
Sea Otter here we are! Wow, we drove down in 20hrs overnight. Shaums hooked up a TV and PS2 in the Van and we made a fun trip of it with our MMR Squamish Team. Travelling with us are Miranda, Harrison and Clinton as well as Dave Hord and Wayne Goss.
We are all super tired now, but are stoked on the week. We are all set for our camps at the Bike Skills skills zone and although we have had many people pre-register you can register onsite at the Bike Skills tent all week. A Day of Trail Work
While draining some coffees and hanging out, we got a call from Mike. “Since it’s too wet to ride, how do you guys feel about doing some Trail Maintainence?”. Within an hour we had a crew of six guys heading out to fix up the trails. Shaums, Mike, Wayne, Graham, Clinton and I put on our best waterproof gear, grabbed some tools and headed towards some trails we had heard were in rough shape with blow-downs and water problems.
