MMR Camps are designed to make you a better rider. Shaums and his coaches are not only great riders but also great teachers. Going on a trail ride with some famous riders is great, but learning something is better. MMR is about making you a better rider. Whether learning to rail berms or flow through rock garden we will take you to the next level.
Level 1
Beginner riders struggle to figure out what to do on their bikes. They don’t what is possible, or even what they are doing is right or wrong. For Level 1 riders we introduce drills for different body positions and establish an easy 1 2 3 steps program for each skill. Once riders understand what they are capable of their riding and confidence levels go through the roof. Establishing a correct fundamentals makes riding less intimidating and tons more fun for a beginner.
Level 2
Intermediate riders, have been riding long enough to have found a body position that works, They are using natural self preservation skills which seem to keep riders just out of harms way down the trail, These riders give coaches a challenge with helping to fix bad habits of there riding. These riders really have to work on correcting these things “Bad habits are hard to break”.
Level 3
The advanced Freeriders/ Racers are usually on the right track with skills and body position usually need an adjustment to correct tendencies and habits that cost time on the course and flow on the trail. These riders need to be conscious of the correct way to ride, and stay focused; avoiding those speed sucking bad habits. Most riders can pick up on these changes and immediately feel and see the difference. From there we work on shaving seconds off of the course for racers or finding the right approach angles and landing transitions for the Freeriders.
Bike Set-Up
At MMR we believe a proper bike set up can make a champion, we’ve had the best results starting every session with question and answer about bike set up. A group discussions all the Who, What, Where, When and why about bike set ups with making some corrections if necessary.
Mountain Biking is a dangerous sport. There is an inherent risk in Mountain Bike riding, racing and training. Participants assume all risks associated with attending and participating in any Mad March Racing event.
